Mehwish Hayat Among To 5 Muslim Women Breaking Stereotypes
The Muslim Vibe mentioned Hayat as a “Passionate and Articulate” humanitarian who is Smashing Conventionalized Approach through her activism globally. “Mehwish has recently hit the headlines for advocating positivity and representation and peace in Pakistan,” Muslim Vibe wrote on her mention.
“I am so honored to be chosen by the international magazine, The Muslim Vibe, as one of the top five Muslim women in the world who are breaking stereotypes and changing the world,” Mehwish wrote on her Twitter handle. “To be thought of in the same breath as women I look up to is humbling.”

Apart from Hayat, the magazine also featured four other women — Manal Rostom, an athlete, clinical pharmacist, fitness influencer and the founder of Surviving Hijab, Ilhan Omar, one of the first Muslim women of colour to be elected as a member of the US House of Representatives, Linda Sarsour, who was included in Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people list in 2017 and hails from Palestine and athlete Ibtihaj Muhammad.

The actress gave a heartful speech after winning the Pride of Performance Award at Oslo, which went Viral. Hayat Criticized Bollywood and Hollywood for ‘Vilifying’ the Pakistani Industry and Portraying False image of our Culture.
The star also commented upon divisive nationalism with a thought piece on BBC, emphasizing the responsibility which actors and role models have to promote peace to become responsible humanitarians.
