Misbah Wants Pakistani Cricket to be Aggressive
“I will give a 100 percent and try to play my role to bring positivity to Pakistan cricket,” Misbah said. “I have always wanted to bring professionalism to the team. From top to the bottom and bottom to the top into the team.”
The Former Skipper acknowledged that the team is full of talented players. The Coaching Staff need to work on their Mindset and prepare them in such a way that they can play ‘Intelligently, Smartly and Fearlessly’.
“We have some of the most talented and exciting cricketers, and I will like to help them train and prepare in such a way that they can play intelligently, smartly and fearlessly,” he said. I am aware this will require a change in the dressing room culture but if we have to compete consistently at the highest level, we have to embrace these modern-day requirements.”
Misbah also believed that Waqar Younus as Bowling Coach is the Best Guy for New-Comers to Groom under his Coaching. So, Misbah is so excited to Start off along with Legend Waqar Younus.
“I am excited to once again have someone as experienced and knowledgeable as Waqar Younis in my corner as a bowling coach. We have exciting young fast bowlers in our ranks. There is no better person than Waqar to transform them into modern-day stars,” he said.
The former captain continued, “There was a lot of talk about the type of cricket I used to play and what type of cricket I would bring once I became the coach. As a coach I will try to play aggressive cricket, to play attacking cricket and win. However, that is not the case all the time. Sometimes you have to assess the team you’re playing and then decide which sort of cricket you want to play. So, My priority is that I have a team which plays attacking cricket team, keeping in mind that sometimes you have to assess what team you’re playing and then rethink your strategy,” he noted.

However, many believe that the Board has done unjustice with Misbah and the Posts by overburdening him.
Misbah should also be allowed to be Deputy Prime Minister. https://t.co/k9ioMXL1vB

Head Coach. Chief selector. Misbah is wearing many hats. Which county follows this structure in today’s day and age?? Can’t be easy doing justice to both the responsibilities….
